Thomas has an M.S. degree in Geology from Michigan Technological University. He is currently in charge of field and lab operations for Matt Ruark’s Nutrient Cycling and Agroecosystems Lab, with a focus on Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) in both corn and potato cropping projects. In his free time, he enjoys art, music, collecting rocks/minerals, and exploring/hiking.
