Carolyn Betz
Carolyn joined thelab in 2013 to become the Research Project Manager of the Dairy CAP project, a $10 million grant focusing on climate change and dairy production systems in the Great Lakes. Previously, she was the Program Manager for the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts through UW’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Carolyn spent nearly 25 years at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in their Bureau of Watershed Management where she specialized in nonpoint source pollution control, lake management, TMDLs and outreach and education. She and her husband, Richard, are positively giddy that their two sons, Stephen and Jonathan, are both in college leaving the house to themselves to finally get a good night’s sleep.
